Introduction EPSON Total Disc Maker is software that creates disc content and designs labels for the EPSON Discproducer Series which can burn and label CDs and DVDs and BDs. For EPSON Total Disc Maker, burning and labeling a disc using the EPSON Discproducer Series is referred to as "publishing." Publishing is performed in the following three steps: (1) Creating Discs Edit data to write on CDs/DVDs/BDs. (2) Creating Labels Edit data to print on the label surface of CDs/DVDs/BDs. (3) Publishing Discs Write data and print labels. 2. Product Summary The following shows the software to be released and the main features. (1) EPSON Total Disc Maker Edits data to write on the discs and to print on the disc label, and publishes the discs. (2) EPSON Total Disc Setup Configures the EPSON Discproducer Series initial settings. (3) EPSON Total Disc Monitor Controls the job and displays the information such as the current status of the job and the EPSON Discproducer Series. (4) EPSON Total Disc Control Service Controls the EPSON PP-100II, EPSON PP-100, EPSON PP-100AP, EPSON PP-50BD, EPSON PP-50, EPSON PP-7050BD to create the discs. (5) EPSON Total Disc Copy Service Controls the built-in drive in EPSON Discproducer Series to copy the disc. (6) EPSON PP-100/PP-100N/PP-100AP/PP-50 Printer Driver Creates data to print on label surface of the discs and performs the printer setting of the EPSON Discproducer Series, and the maintenance of the product. (7) EPSON Total Disc Net Administrator Configures the PP-100N operation settings, manages the job history, and updates the user information. 3. Restrictions (1) Please be sure to install EPSON Total Disc Maker with administrator privileges. Otherwise, the following error message will be displayed. "This installation is forbidden by system policy. Contact your system administrator." (2) If you have the software in zip format, please make sure to unzip it before executing the installer. Otherwise (e.g. If you double-click on it to open it), the installation will not be completed correctly. (3) If you are upgrading to version 3.50 or earlier of the EPSON Total Disc Maker, the status of connection or device in EPSON Total Disc Setup or EPSON Total Disc Monitor may not be displayed correctly. In this case, restart Windows. (4) A disc or disc image file created with EPSON Total Disc Maker version 1.01 or earlier may produce some noise. The relevant discs and files are as follows: - Audio CD disc or disc image file - Music & Data CD disc or disc image file If you make a copy using such disc or disc image file, the copied version may also contain some noise. To avoid this, please make sure to create a new disc or disc image file with the 1.50 version or later, and then duplicate it. (5) For EPSON PP-100, EPSON PP-100AP, or EPSON PP-50 printer driver, please do not change the default setting ("Spool print documents so program finishes printing faster") to" Print Directly to the printer," at the Advanced tab in Properties. Doing so may prevent the paused jobs from resuming (For example, when the disc or ink cover is opened during the publishing process). (6) In order to downgrade the version of EPSON Total Disc Maker, please make sure to uninstall the currently installed version before installing an earlier version. If installed incorrectly, please make sure to uninstall EPSON Total Disc Maker using the "Add or Remove Programs" list in Windows Control Panel. (7) In Windows Vista, if the USB cable or AC power cable is unplugged and the communication with PP-100II, PP-100, PP-100AP, PP-50BD, PP-50, PP-7050BD, is disconnected during the publishing process, it may not be recovered even after the cable is connected to the device again. In this case, restart Windows. (8) If you select characters that include 0x80 codes and above for Code128, they cannot be read by a barcode reader that does not support FNC4. (9) If you shut down Windows when jobs are registered, some of the jobs may not be deleted. In this case, the remaining jobs may be published after next startup of Windows. (PP-100II / PP-100 / PP-100AP / PP-50BD / PP-50 / PP-7050BD) (10) If you choose to print through EPSON Total Disc Maker from another application using font sizes from 72 to 79pt, enter specific multibyte characters; otherwise, the result may not be printed correctly. (11) *.tdd and *.let files created through Total Disc Maker version 2.50 or later are not compatible with Total Disc Maker 2.00 and earlier. To utilize these files, please make sure to use Total Disc Maker version 2.50 or later. (12) If the following message appears during updating of EPSON Total Disc Maker, the printer driver is not updated correctly. "Operation could not be completed (error 0x00000bb9). The specified printer driver is currently in use." Follow the steps below for reinstallation. 1. Reboot Windows. 2. Disconnect the PP-100II / PP-100 / PP-100AP / PP-50BD / PP-50 / PP-7050BD from a PC. 3. Uninstall EPSON Total Disc Maker. 4. Install EPSON Total Disc Maker. (13) The following message may appear during uninstalling of EPSON Total Disc Maker. If you reinstall EPSON Total Disc Maker after that, reboot Windows before reinstallation. "Operation could not be completed (error 0x00000bb9). The specified printer driver is currently in use." (14) When you connect more than one PP-100II, PP-100, PP-100AP, PP-50BD, PP-50, PP-7050BD to a PC and publish a job to one of them, communication with the device may fail if you turn off or disconnect one of the devices. If one of the devices needs to be turned off or disconnected, it is recommended that you wait until the publishing jobs are finished. (15) Immediately after upgrading EPSON Total Disc Maker from Version 1.0 or 1.5 to Version 4.00, the PP-100 may temporarily be disconnected from the PC. If this occurs, turn the power of the PP-100 back on. (16) When you publish a job in the Read Back mode, it is recommended to disable Windows auto play function. Otherwise, it may take a long time to complete the job. (17) When you publish a job in the Read Back mode, you must have the administratorfs right. Otherwise, the published job will result in an error. (18) If you set the publish mode to "Standard mode" and Stacker 3 to "Use," you cannot print from a third party application. 8. Note for TD Bridge users To use TD Bridge, install TD Bridge version 6.0x or update it to version 6.0x. This software does not support TD Bridge versions earlier than 6.00.
